Heather Bosch to KING 5, KPLU Call Letters To Change

Breaking News from Mike Barer’s blog, Barers Of Maple Valley and Allan Townsend’s (Heather’s husband) Twitter feed –A good move for KING 5 News. Heather Bosch most recently with CBS Radio News joins that station soon. Heather is a 1983 Curtis High School (University Place) graduate. Bosch formerly worked at KOMO and KIRO radio stations in Seattle…KPLU 88.5 unveils a new set of call letters tomorrow morning at 7:30 on-the-air. Listeners were invited to submit suggestions for the new call letters. 88.5 Jazz, Blues & NPR News breaks away from Pacific Lutheran University after station interest group raised counter-offer to a buy-out from KUOW Seattle. 88.5 becomes an independent, community station with studios likely in Tacoma initially. For the time being, the station will operate from the university campus and current Seattle studios.
