Super Bowl 51 had ended with a come from behind win by the Patriots and highlights of the game were being reviewed by tv and radio stations everywhere.
Over at 880 KIXI, Bye Bye Blues [Bert Kaempfert] faded as the Westwood One 8 p.m. newscast began.
Ann Cates reported that the Atlanta Falcons still led 28-3. The pre-recorded newscast brought back memories from a time before Lady Gaga sang at half-time.

Following the newscast, KIXI aired an episode of the western series, Powder River. Old-time radio drama, old instrumental music and old newscasts, as cool now as it was then.
