Ghoulish Gold: John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers – I’m Your Witch Doctor

As we wait with great anticipation to learn what’s up with KISS FM, Puget Sound Media fills your treat-or-treat bag with this rarity fit for the occasion.  From 1967, “I’m Your Witch Doctor” on UK’s Immediate Records features the very young ex-Yardbirds lead guitarist Eric Clapton, plus the nucleus of what would become Fleetwood Mac with John McVie on bass & Mick Fleetwood on drums.  Although not credited on the record, a number of sources have noted an also young Jimmy Page as producer of this non-American release plus the B-side “Telephone Blues“.  Jimmy Page at the time was an extraordinary session guitarist & occasional record producer, before he too would join The Yardbirds in tandem with Jeff Beck, as 2nd lead guitarist.  Trick or treat!
