Absent for surgery

Friends & readers: The time has come for me to undergo follow-up surgery from my horrific near-death nightmare that began 2019.  Doctors have been waiting for me to be recovered enough & strong enough to endure some tidying up from the original abdominal surgery.  I will be away this Monday for a day of pre-op testing & then enter hospital Wed, Aug 21.  Once it’s been determined there is no infection & the new wounds are intact, I will be discharged – probably Aug 27 or 28.  I don’t anticipate a repeat of the prolonged ordeal of earlier this year. We apologize if we miss some timely news updates, station or personnel changes during my absence  but assure you this will resume once I’m back in the Puget Sound Media office.  Fear not – I have pre-scheduled some of your favorite features to browse & have also lined up a few history posts for you too.  Hopefully I return with once less piece of “hardware” inserted into me!  Adios ’til I return…Mike
