Our Lost Treasure this week is from Jamaican group The Paragons & is their last single and one & only hit on Coxsonne Dodd’s Studio One Records.  Recorded in 1967, “Danger In Your Eyes” features vocalist Don Evans & showcases the lovely harmonies of this group.  The Paragons would go on to much bigger success after moving to Studio One rival label Treasure Isle Records owned by producer Duke Reid.  Their #1 Caribbean smash “The Tide Is High” would later be covered by pop band Blondie.  While many artists, including the original Wailers – Bob Marley, Peter Tosh & Bunny Livingston had successful releases on Studio One, owner/producer Coxsonne Dodd failed to capture the best the Paragons had to offer.  “Danger In Your Eyes” made it to #2 on Jamaican radio summer ’67.  Have a great weekend from your friends at Puget Sound Media & warm up with this reggae classic!
