DIRECTV will raise prices on most programming packages for existing customers by $1 a month to $8 a month as well as increase the Regional Sports Channel fee by as much as $2 a month, in January. AT&T, which owns DIRECTV, has revealed the plan in a notice posted at its web site.
There are many streaming options, such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and YouTube TV, streamed on tablets and iPhones. No wires, cables, boxes, or satellite dishes involved. The total cost for such streaming services is less than the monthly charges and fees for similar services offered by the cable company.
