  1. So many questions: Why was not Lou Robbins the lead item in Vic’s column? How long were you PD of KAMT? What was your format? And was this during their time in Tacoma’s Old City Hall or in Fife?

  2. Coming over from weekends at KRPM/Tacoma (Bowes Building at South 9th St, downtown), KAMT was located in the basement of Old City Hall in downtown Tacoma. This was where the old jail cells used to be. Was it haunted? I think so. Creepy to say the least. Our Top 40 format also featured the weekly Soupy Sales program and a nightly sports talk show with Bob Robertson, when there were no baseball games. I was PD for about 6 months, (Jim Baine was the owner), before moving back over to KJUN/Puyallup. From there, KASY/Auburn, KBRD-KTAC/Tacoma (Tacoma Mall office building), KMTT Seattle (overnites), and finally KOOL/Phoenix. Why Victor Stredicke didn’t feature my move to mornings at KAMT as the top story, is beyond me. The fact is, I don’t recall reading this column at the time. My youngest daughter had been born two weeks prior, this was a hectic time. All during this radio career, I was working full-time at AT&T.
OK, enough about ME. (I’m blushing)
