KING-5 meteorologist Ben Dery departs


Meteorologist Ben Dery anchored his final weather forecast last night on KING-5 News after 5 years with the Tegna outlet. Ben is headed back to his home in Minneapolis & takes on weather forecasting there for KARE-TV.

  1. Has the KING culture changed as much from the Dorothy Bullit era as much as
    KOMO’s current Sinclair Broadcasting culture may differ from the longtime Fisher era?

    1. Hmmm. Dorothy Bullit played favorites and had attitude…Example, KING 5 had a woman sports director, Elaine Perkins…I believe she was the first female in this area to hold that job…but Ms. bullit found out that Elaine had a certain sexual preference…and let her go!…so, times can be tough in different ways….that would not happen now.
