His daughter, Linda Hardwick, was in one of my classes at WSU. She was a beautiful red head, She was very friendly and I really enjoyed sitting next to her. She died at a young age and I was devastated to learn of her passing. I later found out a little more about her death from a commenter in Blather Watch https://blatherwatch.blogs.com/talk_radio/2011/01/old-seattle-radio-saturday-bob-hardwick.html
His daughter dies by hanging (suicide), and he shoots himself in the head. The reference to Hardwick becoming an evil person and what we know it took him to in the end shows the dark side of mental illness.
Well he was kind of finished in the market. I think he felt that his career and then his life had taken a dead end. Then his unimaginable grief over his loss.
