Yes, as a teenager in eastern Washington, I appreciated the 50kw rocker that KGA had become. In the Tri-Cities teens had KORD in the daytime and later got full-time top 40 with KALE, but I had a button on my car radio set on 1510 to pull in “The Original Shane” while tooling around Richland at night. And KGA was known for its stunts–most memorable was the night that Shane played “The Snake” over and over and over for his entire shift.

I remember Shane. I also remember when Derick Shannon was on there. He would later become P.D. at KTAC in 71. Met Derick once.
