FTVLive Warns Dark Days Ahead

(WARNING!! Keep that mask over your nose while reading this, please.)

TV media website, FTVLive, delivered some bad news this morning. A warning to anyone looking forward to a brighter 2021.

“If you think you are going to wake up tomorrow and it will all be better, you’re living in fantasyland.”

So, If you had plans to party like it’s 1999, you better rethink that.

Scott Jones, editor at FTVLive, states, “It is going to get worse before it gets better.” He went on to shake his finger at TV news people. “You guys need to continue to inform the public that they need to practice the CDC guidelines and you all need to do it yourself.”

And, who would know better than Scott Jones. He is a blogger.

In other words, keep the Covid story front and center. Each dire warning should be BREAKING NEWS. Be sure to attribute every death to Covid.

***** Hey, if you want to read further, please MASK UP! *****

Scott Jones’ rant continued. “Every time I see someone walking around a store (that requires masks) not wearing a mask, I think that is one of the most selfish people on the planet. This virus was always going to be bad, but it never had to be this bad.”

Damn it, people! Really? Geezuz cripes!

There are those of us who have much to be thankful for, and were certain that excellent health, more wealth, and the good times we are currently enjoying might continue into tomorrow and the month ahead, all the year of 2021 and beyond. But, sadly, Scott Jones informs us that we probably have our head up our ass.

“If you are holding out hope that it will be (a Happy New Year), you are setting yourself up for a huge disappointment.”

Now, many of you are really starting to sweat it. After all, when a blogger tells you that all Hell is about to break loose, you damn well better heed the warning.

Just when you foolishly believed you were captain of your own ship and that you had control of your future, the blogger reminds you this.

“We will still have the pandemic to deal with and the economy is likely going to get a lot worse before it gets better.”

There goes that wealth I was talking about. You may have been one of the lucky ones, unaffected by setbacks at work, lay-offs, business closures etc. You may have diligently pursued your goals and persevered, working to maintain the lifestyle you were accustomed to, even through the Pandemic of 2020. You may have even come out of it better than expected.

And then a blogger delivers the reminder that “we were in this together”. You had gone outside these guidelines, venturing out on your own to better your position in life.

Things were looking up, but now you are told the bottom is about to fall out. Scott Jones warns that you had better wake up.

“We are in a big hole and it is going to take time to climb out of it. But, we will get out.”

Now you get it. “We are all in this together.”

That is the message. Because there were deaths due to Covid, because businesses were affected, because many people suffered financially, EVERYONE will suffer in the days ahead.

LIFE WILL SUCK FOR US ALL! We are all in this together!

Joe Biden said as much. DARKEST DAYS ARE AHEAD! Isn’t THAT what we want to hear from a man about to be sworn in as President?

We don’t even get “Hope & Change” from Ol’ Joe.

There is an encouraging bit of cheer, given by Scott Jones. He implores the media to “highlight some encouraging stories when you can.”

When you can.

His message still has the ring of hopelessness.

If you are one of the few, the strong, the self-thinkers, and you still have a positive outlook on your future, Puget Sound Media bids you a Happy New Year!

We will get through this.

On our own.
